Moto Corse Touring – Kawaguchi-ko

I went to my dealer’s touring day, part of a now monthly series. Lots of really nice bikes, lots of fumes!

There’s my ride, in amongst tons of very nice bikes…. I barely fit in!

MV Agusta Brutale & friends at Ebina SA

Some interesting bikes there…. Like this Magni Moto Guzzi

Bimota Mantra

Bimota Tesi 3D

All Carbon Ducati 999S

From Gotemba, we went north toward Fuji-san, and then took Route 23 west and then went all the way around the mountain, eventually getting to the 413 to go east back toward Tokyo.

Here we are at a michi no eki on the northwest side of Fuji-san.

Finally stopped for lunch at Kawaguchi-ko!

Lunch was hohtoh:

Picture Time! This is where it gets fun.

Some of you may have remembered this bike from the Tokyo Motorcycle Show. Started life as a MV Agusta Brutale Wally, now it is totally redone using the best of Moto Corse stuff. Lots of fancy bits on there! Now it is sporting the regular Moto Corse full exhaust, where at the motorcycle show, it had the prototype new exhaust which may be coming out soon….

In Doshi, they made these bad boys (plus a Ducati 848) available to test ride…. I didn’t partake, though I really wanted to try the 848. Roads were a bit crowded at that big rest area on the 413 in Doshi. Next time….

Test Ride: Bimota DB7 and DB6C

All in all, a fun ride out, great to see so many fantastic specimens of Italian Bikes!

Nice pics and writeup. Very enjoyable day, some of the coolest bikes I’ve ever seen, and a good bunch of guys. Really looking forward to the next one :-)
