Golden Week 2010 - Ironbutt (SandyButt)
Golden week includes Thursday 29 April off. The original idea is to head out that day to take advantage of the full span of holidays. Others interested in Ironbutting to Kyushu, but at a later date, should also add info here. It is far enough away for schedules to change.
This should be used in conjunction with the Golden Week Tour coordination.

The Route
The Tokyo Route will look something like this Mapfan Route

- KAN-ETSU-EXPY to fujioka JCT
- –JOSHIN-ETSU-EXPY to joetsu JCT
- –HOKURIKU-EXPY to maibara JCT
- –MEISHIN-EXPY to suita JCT
- –CHUGOKU-EXPY or you can do SANNO-EXPY they will both come on to KYUSHU-EXPY last stop is taniyama-IC
- from here you can do the IBUSUKI SKYLINE or the coast road route 226 down to IBUSUKI.
The end point is looking like Kaimondake in southern Kyushu, Kagoshima-ken. This is near Ibusuki, which has the famous Sand Baths. We are looking at staying at this Campsite with Cabins meetup point at the end Joyful Address 指宿市西方字石ヶ崎1452 TEL.0993-25-6018 営業時間／24時間 this is on route226/coastroad
