Golden Week 2010 - Tohoku Touring
A few of us plan to visit Tohoku during Golden Week 2010.

Tentative current plan spans the first 3 days
April 28
Hop on the Tohoku, get off around Bandai lake. Ride in the area if still daytime. Stay at the Lake Sohara Campsite located on the south side of Lake Sohara (Soharako) (Tohoku Mapple p18/p107 B5)
April 29
Set off North in the morning. Route 2 (Nishi-Azuma Skyline).
Jog over to Rt13 at Yonezawa City, continue north. Turn East onto Rt12 scenic road (Zao Ecoline), p29 D1.
Get on Tohoku Expr. at Shiraishi p30 A4, ride north briefly and turn onto the Yamagata Expressway (p30 D1), take it all the way to the end at Sakada Minato (p49 B4).
From there, we just take rt 7 up to rt 210 (the Chokai Blueline). After that, we take rt 7 (or expressway if running late) north up to the Oga Peninsula.
Stay the night at Namahage Auto Campsite on the Oga Peninsula (p77 D5)
April 30
Head north along coast (Omagoe Kaido Rt 101), until p96 A3, turn right/south on 3, ride up/down Tsugaru-Iwaki Skyline.
Go around Iwakisan and head north and follow coast clockwise.
Camping in p98 I3 Tsubaki Yama or p102 H4.
