Tsukuba Circuit is a 2km track in Ibaraki-ken, accessible from Tokyo off the Joban Expressway.
License
2 types of license: 1. Family class 2. Sports Ride class
Difference: You have to use a street legal bike for the Family license. For the Sports Ride class, you are required to do wiring, under-pan and etc – more for the serious riders owns a track bike or equivalent.
Classification by Tsukuba: (info limited to Family class for this website) Beginner: 1min 20 sec or more Intermediate: 1 min 15 sec to 20 sec Advanced: 1 min 10 sec to 15 sec. Tsukuba “asks” anyone who is faster than 10 sec to move to Sports Ride class.
Fee: Family: 11,000 yen plus 10,000 (deposit for track day) = 21,000 yen. Sports: 26,000 yen plus 10,000 (deposit for track day) = 36,000 yen
Need to do first: Click on the website link above “お申し込み” Or Call Tsukuba Circuit 0296-44-3146 they do not speak English. According to them, non-JPNese speaker needs to bring someone to translate.

If you are getting MFJ License, you need additional 5000 yen, 2 more PIX and Alien Registration Card. For non-JPN national, you need to proof that you are staying in JPN more than 3 months.
